Katherine Keene is the founder and creative director of Wild + Free Films, a studio shaped by over a decade of experience and a lifelong relationship with cinema. Mostly filming luxury destination weddings, Katherine’s films balance a clean, effortless aesthetic with rich atmospheric storytelling to create immersive narratives that honor the setting, intimacy, and cadence of each celebration.

With a background in film theory, history, and documentary filmmaking, Katherine draws inspiration from cinematic movements such as Italian Neorealism, French New Wave, and German Expressionism—resulting in each film being approached with depth, structure, and intentionality. Katherine’s films are known to be minimalistic but full of life, and her attention to detail in regard to color grading and sequencing makes for films that are at a commercial-level quality. She oftentimes incorporates Super 8 film, camcorder, and aerial footage to enhance the story, but never overshadow it. Her clients are creative professionals,  and families who value design, discretion, and meaningful documentation.

Since launching in 2015, Katherine has filmed over 350 weddings around the world. Her work has been featured in Over The Moon, Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty, The Wed, and Wezoree, and she has been recognized among the top wedding filmmakers by The Wed and Over The Moon.
